Cardiac Muscle (Primate & Rat)

Cardiac Muscle (Primate) & Cardiac Muscle (Rat) Indirect Immunofluorescence Assays (IFA) using cardiac muscle tissue substrate are in vitro diagnostic tests intended for the qualitative detection of autoantibodies directed against cardiac muscle components in human serum or plasma.

The presence of circulating antibody to one or more of the cardiac muscle antigens can aid in patient diagnosis and prognosis of such diseases as rheumatic fever, myocardial infarction, and a variety of post-cardiotomy states. Test results must be interpreted in conjunction with the patient’s clinical findings and other laboratory tests.
