Gel Electrophoresis

Pioneer in Agarose Gel Electrophoresis Technology.

Gel electrophoresis is widely used in clinical laboratories to analyze proteins in serum, urine, and other biological fluids, supporting the diagnosis of various abnormalities.

The Sebia HYDRASYS 2 SCAN FOCUSING is an all-in-one system performing migration, staining and scanning. Complementing this platform, Sebia offers a comprehensive range of assays designed to detect and monitor numerous conditions, including monoclonal gammopathies.

With Sebia’s agarose gel electrophoresis solutions, laboratories can rely on consistent, high-quality results for accurate and confident patient reporting.

About Gel Electrophoresis

Sebia's gel technology is based on the principle of separating molecules in an agarose medium.

Three types of separation occur according to:

  • The charge of the proteins, in a specific pH buffer
  • The isoelectric point, in a specific pH gradient
  • The molecular weight of the proteins, in an SDS-agarose gel

Designed for routine laboratory workflows, Sebia’s agarose gel electrophoresis solution combines analytical performance with efficiency and ease of use.
